Architecture of Emotion

May 14 – 31, 2025

Opening Night: TBC

Romulus Folio Gallery, 55 Gladstone Street, South Melbourne 3025

Architecture of Emotion presents an immersive investigation into the intersections of space, materiality, and emotion. Contemporary interdisciplinary artist, Angelina Mirabito translates the architectural curves, textures, colours, and formal logic of The Gladstone development into abstract, tactile paintings, accompanied by a looping documentary by Scott Ross.

The exhibition conceptually references the ancient Greek Fates, imagined as three figures navigating the development’s three towers, offering a meditation on how structure, movement, and material presence shape emotional experience. Mirabito’s work foregrounds the dialogue between built form and human perception, revealing the latent poetry of architecture through abstraction.
