Romulus Folio is a contemporary gallery based in South Melbourne | Naarm, presenting immersive and transformative exhibitions at the intersection of art, design, and myth. The gallery’s program features a curated mix of anchor and supporting artists, exploring material, spatial, and emotional dialogue within each exhibition. Romulus Folio emphasises interdisciplinary approaches, combining painting, sculpture, moving-image, and installation to create experiences that engage both the material and conceptual dimensions of contemporary art.

The gallery develops collaborative projects, supports emerging, mid-career and established artists, and fosters partnerships with local creative networks, institutions, and cultural organisations. Each exhibition is professionally curated to ensure both critical rigor and immersive audience engagement.

Meet the Team

Scott Ross

Co-Founder , Co-Director & Gallery Manager
Scott leads Romulus Folio’s day-to-day operations and curatorial programming, overseeing exhibition design, interdisciplinary conceptual development, and moving-image/spatial projects. He manages communications, serving as the primary contact for the gallery.
Angelina Mirabito

Lead Artist & Curator
Angelina is the lead artist and curator of Romulus Folio , an artist-led project in South Melbourne presenting experimental contemporary art. As ongoing artist-in-residence, she oversees collaborative exhibitions, artist-led programs, and develops cross-disciplinary projects with designers and visual artists. Her own practice spans gestural abstract painting, mixed-media works, and immersive installations.
Kate Spencer

Co-Director, Associate Program Curator, Development & Partnerships
Kate supports the gallery through FBIdeas, focusing on grant strategy, budgeting, creative space management, and brokering at The Gladstone. Kate is a designer and creative producer, with 25 years’ experience shaping and overseeing the strategic and creative direction and delivery of award-winning cultural and placemaking projects. She develops partnerships across creative, government, and organisational networks, enabling impactful collaborations.
Joseph Mirabito

Co-Founder, Co-Owner & Advisor
Joseph provides strategic, financial, and operational guidance, supporting the gallery’s long-term vision, sustainability, and systems. His advisory role helps consolidate Romulus Folio’s mission and extend its reach within the arts community.
