Inspired by the way a prism reveals the full spectrum of light, unfolding into a multitude of colours and facets, the exhibition celebrates the many ways artists see, interpret and express the world. Each artwork offers a distinct perspective, creating a rich conversation through colour, line, pattern, form, materiality, ideas and artistic voices. Together, these diverse practices invite audiences to experience contemporary Australian art through multiple ways of seeing.

Threads Of Love Exhibition
Across distance, love finds a thread. Across cultures, stories find a home.
Threads of Love explores Qixi as a living cultural tradition, shaped across centuries through ritual, mythology, literature, art and changing social values. The exhibition follows its evolution from the early Qiqiao traditions of women’s creativity, craftsmanship, wisdom and ingenuity, through the celestial story of the Weaving Maid and Cowherd, and into contemporary artistic interpretations of connection, communication and expressions of love.

Romulus Folio Gallery at The Gladstone was initially supported by FB IDEAs through a three-month activation period from April to June 2025, with a program grant of AUD $25,000 supporting the gallery’s early establishment and first exhibitions and events. Since the conclusion of this activation period on 30 June 2025, the exhibitions, workshops and cultural programming delivered in the Gladstone lobby have continued independently through Romulus Folio Gallery, supported through substantial in-kind labour, programming and financial contribution from the Romulus founders.
