Architecture of Emotion
Solo Exhibition
Angelina Mirabito
May 6 – 28, 2026
Opening Night: 22 May 5-7pm
Romulus Folio Gallery presents Architecture of Emotion, the final exhibition at 55 Gladstone Street, South Melbourne.
Grounded in the idea that architecture holds space for emotion, this exhibition brings together a series of materially driven paintings where structure, surface, and sensation are deeply intertwined. Built through plaster, pigment, and layered gesture, each work operates as a constructed field where emotion is embedded within the surface.
At the centre of the exhibition are key works including Soul Print, Signature Frequency, and The Fates, alongside the first eight runes forming the first aett. Together, these works establish a framework where painting becomes a method of constructing and holding emotional space.
Architecture of Emotion marks the final public exhibition presented by Romulus Folio Gallery at 55 Gladstone Street, South Melbourne. Over the past 14 months, the gallery has delivered a continuous program of exhibitions, workshops, and community engagement within this space. This exhibition concludes the gallery’s exhibition program at this address.
