Join contemporary abstract artist Angelina Mirabito for a playful and sensory-rich Finger Painting Workshop designed especially for young children aged 2–5 years.

In this relaxed, hands-on session, children will explore colour, texture, and movement through intuitive finger painting, using their hands to spread, blend, and layer vibrant paints directly onto canvas. Guided by Angelina’s gentle, exploratory approach, the workshop encourages curiosity, creativity, and confidence in a supportive environment.

Each child will create their own unique artwork on canvas, celebrating process over perfection and joyful self-expression.

About the Artist

Melbourne-based artist Angelina Mirabito brings a background in Creative Writing (PhD) and a practice shaped by her Italian heritage. Also using unconventional materials and tools—palette knives, sticks, hands, and ladles—she builds layered surfaces that translate internal experiences into vibrant, tactile paintings. Her work explores the intersection of emotion, movement, and materiality, drawing attention to the physical and sensory depth of abstract expression.

The exhibition and all events are designed to be inclusive and welcoming to all visitors.
