WINTER Exhibition @Romulus Folio

July 9 – August 5, 2025

In the depth of winter, Romulus Folio Gallery presents a new series of abstract works by Angelina Mirabito; a contemplative visual journey through stillness, memory, and transformation.

These textured, layered pieces speak in the language of blue, gold, brown, and white. They unfold slowly. Some offer a stark quietness; others carry a warmth that reveals itself only with time. Together, they form a body of work that doesn’t rush to explain, but instead invites you to sit with what is unresolved or quietly enduring.

Rather than depicting a literal season, WINTER moves inward. Each painting becomes a portal into presence, into emotion, into what’s just beneath the surface of change. Whether you are in a moment of reflection or transition, these works hold space for your own interpretation and experience.

Alongside the paintings, the exhibition also includes a video presentation by Scott Ross, adding a visual echo of the themes within the work and grounding the viewer in the sensory tone of the season.

This exhibition continues Romulus Folio’s commitment to showcasing art that is bold in its subtlety, generous in its silence, and unafraid of emotional depth.

A special feature of this exhibition is the inclusion of selected works created during our public workshops, held here at Romulus Folio Gallery. These pieces reflect the shared emotional language that has evolved within this space during July, shaped through colour, mediations on winter, conversation, and creative exploration. They form a bridge between the personal and the collective, echoing the themes of this show.
