Presented for the reopening of the City Library, Elastic Heart Quartet offered a curated selection of works from Angelina Mirabito’s original Elastic Heart exhibition. This encore presentation highlighted four large-scale palette knife paintings, each exploring resilience, vulnerability, and transformation through bold colour, texture, and gesture.

Organised by the City Library Gallery, the exhibition brought this emotionally charged series into a civic context, engaging library patrons and the broader public in dialogue with contemporary art. Mirabito’s works, accompanied by QR-linked video reflections, translate personal experience into material form, demonstrating how texture, scale, and movement can carry emotional and psychological resonance.

As part of the library’s renewal, Elastic Heart Quartet reaffirmed the power of painting to create connection, reflection, and shared experience, bridging the personal and the public in a space of learning and encounter.
