Angelina Mirabito joins the Creative Asia Art Centre’s Inaugural Exhibition
We’re delighted to share that Angelina Mirabito will be exhibiting a selection of works in the official launch of the Creative Asia Art Centre—a new cultural space dedicated to artistic dialogue, creative exchange, and connection across the Asia-Pacific region.
She // A Study in Magenta
Angelina’s contribution to the exhibition features pieces from her ongoing series She / A Study in Magenta, created between 2021 and 2025. This body of work reimagines pink and magenta—often culturally associated with softness or fragility—as powerful, emotionally charged colour fields that hold stories of complexity, transformation, and resilience.
Guardian’s Gaze, 2025 by Angelina Mirabito
Working primarily in abstract contemporary forms, the series reflects an intimate exploration of femininity—not as a fixed identity but as an evolving force. There is an interplay between vulnerability and strength, and between stillness and intensity, that runs through each piece. Mirabito’s use of layered colour, gesture, and movement evokes both interior landscapes and psychological terrains.
The works can be read as meditative acts of reclamation—affirmations of intrinsic worth that emerge not in spite of adversity but through a conscious alchemy of it. While centred on the feminine experience, the series opens a space for diverse, fluid expressions of identity and selfhood beyond binary constraint.

A Curatorial Perspective
Mirabito’s work has often been described as emotionally intelligent, unflinching, and deeply intuitive. In She / A Study in Magenta, these qualities are woven through each canvas. The colour choices become a language of their own—reclaiming what has been dismissed, and offering it back as something expansive and vital.
This series doesn’t shout. It insists with quiet force. It invites viewers into a shared emotional terrain, asking not for interpretation, but for presence.
