Inner Wild: Palette Knife Painting Workshop Reflection
At Romulus Folio, we believe creativity is a journey into the wild and untamed parts of ourselves. Recently, our Inner Wild palette knife painting workshop invited participants to dive deep into those raw, beautiful places within, using colour, texture, and movement as guides.
Before releasing our inner wild on the canvas with palette knives and a three chosen colours, we did a meditation into connecting with our inner wild. It was interesting to discover that in the stillness, being explicitly present with the breath, brings us in direct contact with our wild. That the wild in us is not necessarily out of control, chaotic or to be tamed. Rather, when free, constructively expressed it evokes a state of possibility, peace and connection.
This intimate session was about surrendering control, embracing your primal creative spirit, and translating that energy directly onto canvas. From guided breathwork to fearless palette knife strokes, the room was filled with vibrant emotion and freedom.
Weβre so grateful to everyone who joined and shared their powerful creative journeys with us, your courage and openness made this workshop truly special. Weβre excited to have some of the pieces featured in this monthβs exhibition, Embers. August 6 -September 5th.
