The Fire Within: Reflections on Workshop
This workshop invited participants to express the fire within, that living spark that flames through the heart space, the pure desire that lights up the eyes and fuels us with an inexhaustible energy to create, explore, and act.
Together, we kindled this fire, explored what fuels it, and noticed what dims it. Through colour, texture, and bold creative expression, we discovered that the fire within is also the alchemy within. Once embraced, and once we show up for it each day, it transforms how we experience our reality.
We played with the possibility of becoming one with the flame. Not to be burned, but to allow everything that is not truly us to burn away, until what remains is our essential self, burning clear and bright.
Each participant allowed their inner flame to express itself, as unique as it is to each person.
The fire within is never still. It moves, transforms, and shapes us.
What’s Next
The workshop went beautifully. Each time we run these sessions, we see more emerging talent, fires we feel inspired at Romulus to find ways to support and nurture. We are especially excited about the idea of developing an advanced six-week program in 2026, culminating in a group exhibition for the six participants involved.
