WINTER EXHIBITION

Angelina Mirabito

July 6th - August 5th 2025

This body of work emerged in the quieter months, when the light shifts and the days ask different questions. Drawn intuitively to a palette of deep blue, brown, white, gold, and pearl, Angelina Mirabito explores themes of stillness, memory, and transformation. These colours form a quiet language for what cannot be spoken, a softness beneath resilience, a depth that holds complexity.

Many of the works began as older canvases, remnants of rupture now layered over, not to erase the past, but to honour it. The traces remain visible beneath the surface. These paintings are born from the pain intrinsic to growth, from life’s insistence that we come to know ourselves beyond what has been. Each work invites presence, recognising that the door closing is always the door opening, never a conclusion.

This movement between ending and renewal is echoed in Winter Reflections, a video work by Scott Ross, where shifting light and shadow evoke cycles of introspection and release.

Winter is an exhibition about becoming, an unfolding through expression and connection, revealing something truer than healing and larger than the individual self.
