Creatives Connect in Fishermans Bend

Romulus Folio Gallery was delighted to host an evening gathering for creatives connected to Fishermans Bend.

Held on Wednesday 24 September at The Gladstone in South Melbourne, the event brought together artists, designers, makers, and creative professionals from across the area to meet their neighbours and exchange ideas in an informal, welcoming setting.

Fishermans Bend is home to a diverse creative ecosystem, so it was great to have the opportunity to connect across disciplines. This event offered a space to build those connections, strengthen community ties, and perhaps even plant the seeds for future collaborations.

Romulus Folio Gallery hosted the FB IDEAs event. Guests also had the chance to explore the gallery’s current exhibition and learn more about our ongoing work to showcase local artists and engage the community through workshops, exhibitions, events and creative dialogue.

It was a warm and inspiring night of conversation, connection, and creativity, a reflection of the vibrant artistic energy that defines Fishermans Bend.

Note: This article details a specific event collaboration with FB IDEAs that took place on September 24, 2025. This was a distinct, standalone project that occurred after our initial activation period support May-June, 2025. Romulus Folio operates as a fully independent entity with self-directed programming as of July 2025.
