“Tides & Transformation: Exploring Materiality and Memory”

Romulus Folio is proud to present Tides & Transformation, an exhibition by Melbourne-based artist Angelina Mirabito, developed during her residency at The Gladstone in Fishermans Bend. This exhibition delves into themes of repurposing, transformation, and the environment, responding to the unique character and layered history of Fishermans Bend—a landscape shaped by industry, erosion, and renewal.

Mirabito’s work featured includes installations and mixed media pieces that reflect how materials and spaces can be reimagined. By incorporating in this exhibition repurposed shipping pallets and layered canvases, she highlights the quiet strength of adaptation and the beauty of change.

The exhibition also includes a light installation and video art by Samuel Galloway, offering a sensory exploration of space and memory. Additionally, a few works created during community workshops with local residents are showcased, emphasising the collective narrative of transformation.
