Where Art, Design, and Myth Intersect
Romulus Folio is a gallery dedicated to exploring the intersection of contemporary art, design, and myth. Each exhibition is carefully curated to engage with the space, inviting audiences to consider how form, material, and narrative intersect. Works are presented in dialogue with one another and the gallery environment, encouraging reflection on both personal and cultural stories embedded in each piece.
Material experimentation and process-driven practice are central to the gallery’s ethos. Paintings, sculptures, and design-focused works coexist within immersive environments, allowing audiences to experience the depth and texture of each artist’s vision. The gallery foregrounds not only finished works but also the processes behind them, creating opportunities for audiences to witness and engage with artistic evolution.
Romulus Folio supports meaningful engagement through workshops, talks, and participatory programs. These initiatives allow audiences to explore techniques, materials, and conceptual ideas firsthand, fostering dialogue between artists and the public. This approach underscores the gallery’s commitment to nurturing artists’ development while creating accessible entry points for diverse audiences.
The gallery’s programming also highlights leading interdisciplinary collaborations, including the recent partnership between luxury Australian interior designer, Mark Alexander and contemporary interdisciplinary artist, Angelina Mirabito. This collaboration exemplifies Romulus Folio’s vision of merging design and art to create immersive, narrative-driven experiences, bridging spatial design, material experimentation, and conceptual depth.

The 2026 program begins with “Prototypes”, a group exhibition examining the evolution of artistic ideas. The exhibition features artists Arabella Strachen, Lucia Medina, and Kasia Dudkiewicz and runs from 6 February to 1 March 2026. The works on display exist as complete pieces yet remain in conversation with ongoing experimentation, highlighting the trajectory of each artist’s practice. Complementary workshops and talks will provide further insight into creative processes, supporting both professional development and audience understanding.
Through ambitious exhibitions, collaborative programming, and a focus on materiality, spatial engagement, and narrative depth, Romulus Folio positions itself as a platform where artists’ ideas are tested, refined, and shared. The gallery fosters connections between artistic practice, audiences, and the broader contemporary art ecosystem, providing a space where art, design, and myth intersect in meaningful and immersive ways.
