An Afternoon with Lynda Sterns: Artist Talk at Romulus Folio
Join us for an afternoon with artist Lynda Sterns at Romulus Folio Gallery on Saturday, 18 October 2025, 3:00–4:00 PM, for an engaging conversation about her creative journey, artistic evolution, and the inspirations that shape her evocative body of work.
A Journey of Transformation
Lynda’s story as an artist is one of quiet courage and continual evolution. From her early years painting children’s room décor to her later exploration of portraiture and still life, her practice has steadily expanded toward a more expressive, abstract language. In this shift, she has found new freedom, embracing colour, mood, and movement to convey emotion beyond representation.
During this intimate talk, Lynda will reflect on:
The transformation of her practice toward expressive abstraction
The interplay between fragility, mood, and light in her paintings
Her love of layered colour, texture, and the sensory experience of painting
The personal and creative milestones that have shaped her artistic voice
About the Artist
For nearly two decades, Lynda Sterns has pursued her passion for painting with dedication and authenticity. What began as a small creative business evolved into a profound exploration of artistic identity. Her recent work is distinguished by its rich tonal depth and sensitivity to human presence, from hands and gestures to the subtle traces of shared moments.
As one of the exhibiting artists in ECHOES (October 10 – November 3, 2025), Lynda’s work contributes to a collective dialogue that resonates with texture, colour and emotion alongside artists Arabella Strachan and Fiona Johnston.
